Nino Gruettke

Founder, Learn Love Laugh

When I was asked in one of my classes what Nino stands for, I came up with learn, love and laugh. Having lived and studied in the USA, Europe, and Asia, my richest learning experience did not come from textbooks. Instead it came from different people and their stories, perspectives, cultures and values. Most importantly, with every story I listen to, I certainly learn a great deal about myself.

Basically, all I do is collecting these stories. Stories from people, who have inspired me – from luggage boys to presidents; from dishwashers to CEOs. I love listening to their passionate stories in person, reading their books, studying their cases or watching their TED talks. At the end, every story makes me learn, appreciate or remember something I am passionate about myself. This (re)discovery is absolutely beautiful.

The average human laughs 15.470 minutes in his life. I certainly had surpassed this mark before I turned 30!

PS. Many people have asked me what the logo is all about. Actually it is pretty easy: my signature. Simply handwritten Nino, where the o is a little red dot. Why? Well, I live in Singapore, which is known as little red dot on the world map. The fact that Singaporeans are considered the least emotional people in the world and the least happy Asians, makes my happiness adventure as an author even more exciting here…
